I made a quilt of a map of the united states once... The making of and designing of a quilt is a sometime complex process. Do you make quilts?
I know how to sew, and I do it well. I can use a sewing machine, sew things by hand and I can do a blind stitch. (blind stitch example: when you make a pillow there's always one part you can't sew inside out, like the rest of the pillow, you have to turn it to stuff the pillow... you would use a blind stitch to make that part of the seam look like the rest of the seams)
I can't knit, but I'm told it's easy to learn. I have some friends who make scarves in the winter.
Crocheting is very different than knitting, but they do have similarities. You can use both to make scarves! I can crochet, and I make scarves too. Right now I have four scarves in progress, but I'm running out of yarn.
Please, tell us all about your quilting/sewing/knitting/crocheting adventures!

I just bought more yarn yesterday. That makes it 6 scarves in progress. I need two different colors of yarn to finish two of them and the other four just need finished. I am a crazy crocheting fool.

I haven't worn a scarf in quite awhile either, and I don't have any time to work on them, even if I wanted to. It's so hot lately that I've been having large breaks in between working on them.
I want to learn to make hats, then I would be able to make matching beanies to go with all my scarves.
Oh musicnote!! Do you remember the bright green and blue scarf I made? I found the same yarn at JoAnn Fabrics, so if you wanted more too, they had a whole bunch in the back of the store. I want to make a hat to go with my scarf.

I was at JoAnn Fabric's again yesterday and I got a sewing basket, that came with notions.
It's green and super nifty! Only $10, too! They had other colors, like yellow, pink, and blue and a darker green. If you sew at all, and you don't have a basket, this would be a good investment. I really like mine!

I have a basket, bag, stand thingy which holds all of my yard. Its overflowing, maybe because its not fully open because I have it squished inbetween my bed and my bookcase because I'm low on room space. This can be remedied.
Edit: It holds my yarn not my yard. My yard would have to find a very large bag.
Adding: I knit and tackle my mum's ancient sewing machine when I need to. I'm used to the new ones at the school. I have a quilt my great grandma made out of my great grandpa's old clothes but its kinda falling apart. I want to make a new one but I would have to buy fabric or wait till I get some clothes that I would be willing to cut up for patches. Alas I am poor at the moment and am quite attatched to my clothing.
