[glow=red,2,300]If you have any music talent, please explain....As much as you can, I know I will not be getting that many replies, there are only four members...
I play the Bass guitar, been playing for around three years...
I also, sing, but none of that screaming crap, I hate it, if there is too much....[/glow]

Right now I am learning to play acoustic guitar. My dad got me a squier as a graduation present. When I was a kid I was learning to play piano, but then we got rid of our piano... the point is that I was already slightly familiar with reading music, so that's making it a little easier to learn to play guitar. (tab is VERY easy to read though)

I have been playing the baritone in the school band for the last four years. I started out on trumpet, but when I got my braces I had to switch to something with a bigger mouth piece. But now that my braces are gone, I don't want to switch back to trumpet. I have grown accustomed to playing baritone music anyways (the baritone doesn't always have the most exciting part to play). I have tried to teach myself how to play the piano, but I can only play the treble clef part because that is all I know how to read. I attempted learning bass clef, but got kind of side tracked...

Oh yeah, and I'm learning to play the clarinet! Not as cool as the flute... but still quite challenging.

I, personally, like read music sheets (Notes..).. it ells you everything you need to know from the key, chord, or beat..[/glow]

and its kind of weird for a brass person to play a woodwind instrument...kind of weird because instead of having to blow into something, you have something in your mouth...i don't like the feeling but i guess i'll get used to it.

Tell me about it!!!!!! but the plus about woodwinds is.........THE NOTES JUST COME OUT!!! it's like magic! pitch placement always gave me a problem. But on flute..........HOLY EASY. but I do get a little light headed because it take so much more air than my horn.

I mean I play Bass and guitar (Mostly bass... I kind of despise guitar..)...
So, I would not know the difference...
I have always wanted to try a bow instrument, like a cello or violin....[/glow]

Which is weird....
I could, also, sit and listen to it for hours, it is very soothing...
The Harp is a beautiful instrument, not alot of people play it anymore.... [/glow]

That really depends on what kind of rap you are listening to. Plus, it's all a matter of opinion. For the most part, I agree with you and won't listen to the stuff. There are a couple though that I like.

rap isn't really music...its more like poetry with a beat. its mostly about rythm and words. they don't have to learn scales...they just talk. but i suppose it does take a minimal amount of talent to be able to freestyle and put words together...i wouldn't really know...i don't rap.

Me either. Really some don't even use real words or words that rhyme. It's beyond me how any of it is popular.
Anyway, one of my strings on my guitar broke and I'm sad because that stops me from playing! I have to replace that pesky string now.
